The Peetz Fire Protection District maintains a volunteer fire department with 19 volunteers and 4 qualified EMT's.
The Peetz Fire Department uses a siren warning system. Sterling Dispatch runs a remote test every Friday at noon May-Labor Day.
The siren also announces the start of Fire Department business meetings the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.
Fire Department training nights are held the 3rd Thursday of each month.
