The community of Peetz, Colorado is located between two major cities in the high plains area. Colorado Highway 113, which connects Sterling, Colorado and Sidney, Nebraska, allows access to the nation's Interstate Highway System within 20 minutes for bothEast-West I-80 and North-South I-76. Connecting highways of North-South are U.S. 385 and of East West are U.S. 30 and U.S. 6, completing the access to the area.

The Burlington Northern Railroad serves Peetz directly with one of its main coal lines, eliminating any possibility of line abandonment. Access to Piggyback service is available in Sidney, Nebraska on both the Union pacific and Burlington Northern Railroads. However, this same service could be established in Peetz on the Burlington Northern Railroad.

Two airports are within 30 minutes from Peetz. The Sidney Municipal Airport, which is only 15 minutes from Peetz, provides air freight, air express, and passenger service. It has a nonstop service to Denver via GP-Express Airlines and can accommodate small jet aircraft.

Peetz is serviced by interstate truck lnes from both the north and south, transferring through Sidney and Sterling. Its location provides double the number of interstate traffic available in most areas because of the close proximity with two main interstate highways.
